What is Carbon Offset and how does it work? 

Offsetting balances out our CO₂ pollution in one place with equivalent pollution reductions in another.

As part of our Ucan²initiative we encourage motorists to reduce their emissions wherever possible, then offset the rest. When you offset with us, we use your payments to source carbon credits on your behalf from Carbon Clear who invest them in amazing, cost-effective carbon saving projects around the world.

In order to offset you must first understand the size of your motoring carbon footprint. Our calculator is able to find most cars technical CO₂details from the registration number and so is able to work out your exact cars footprint rather than using an "average" car figure. From there you will be able to purchase the equivalent carbon credits to offset your motoring carbon footprint
