As part of our FSA requirements and to be sure that our warranty and additional warranty and insurance products are right for you, we have a number of questions you should review before considering purchasing one of our plans.
Warranty Plan - Demands and Needs
How long do you intend to keep your vehicle?- Our warranty plans are available for either 6 or 12 months. If you are thinking of changing your vehicle during the period of cover you choose then our warranty plan is probably not right to choose. You can transfer the warranty for £25 administration fee but only if it is to a private individual. Anyone else and the plan is automatically cancelled and you cannot claim for a full or part refund.
Are you responsible for the cost of repairs on your vehicle? - To be able to take a plan you must have what is known as an "Insurable interest". This means that you are responsible for any costs incurred for repairs made. If you aren't responsible then you should not take out a plan
Do you intend to keep your vehicle regularly serviced in line with the manufacturers recommended intervals?- It is a condition of the warranty plan that you ensure your vehicle is up to date with all servicing due and that you ensure it is serviced in line with the manufacturers recommended schedules and intervals. In the event of a claim you may be required to prove that all servicing is up to date and complete. If you think you are unlikely to comply with this term you should definitely not take out one of our plans.
Is your vehicle used as a private car taxi or minicab, as a driving schools vehicle, or used for Hire or as a daily rental vehicle?- All such vehicle use are excluded from our warranty plans and so we recommend that you do not take one of our warranty plans.
Is the manufacturers warranty still valid or do you already have a vehicle warranty in place?- We would recommend that you defer the start date of one of our warranty plans until your existing warranty has expired. It is not possible to make a claim on two different warranty plans for the same repair.
Do you have an existing or known fault on your vehicle prior to taking out a warranty plan?- You warranty will be invalidated if it transpires that any future claim made was for the repair of an existing or known fault prior to the start of your warranty plan
Key Guard - Demands and needs
Do you already have cover for lost or stolen keys?- We would recommend that if cover is already in place that you not purchase the Key guard cover
Would you be inconvenienced if you lost or had your keys stolen?- If it would NOT be an inconvenience to you then it may well not be advisable to take the Key guard cover
MOT Insurance - Demands and Needs
When is your vehicles MOT test due?- It is a condition that any vehicle taking this insurance must have at least 3 months valid MOT cover at the start date n order to be included. If your vehicle does NOT have 3 months valid MOT left then you should not take this product
Are you responsible for the costs should the vehicle covered fail its MOT? - To be able to take this insurance you must have what is known as an "Insurable interest". This means that you are responsible for any costs incurred for repairs made. If you aren't responsible then you should not select this product with your plan
Breakdown cover - Demands and Needs
Are you currently a member of any motoring recovery organisation, that provides: home, roadside assistance and/or recovery? - If you already have this kind of provision for your vehicle then we would not recommend taking our breakdown cover.
Are you the only driver of the vehicle? - Our breakdown cover is for the vehicle and whoever is driving it. If you do not have breakdown cover and other people drive your vehicle then it is worth considering taking out this cover
