Exceeding the speed limit can come with more than just the penalty of a speeding fine, points on your licence and some witty comment from the traffic cops. It can cost you money and increase you motoring environmental impact. Now it’s not about driving like Miss Daisy and nor is it about making driving a joyless experience, but consider this. At 60mph you are likely you use 9% less fuel than you would at 70mph, and at 50mph you will use up to 15% less. So, when you can, and when you feel like it, slow down. Truthfully it can be just as enjoyable  it will save you cash and might just avoid some terrible quips.
